Our New Garden

Here at Goring Library we're all very excited about our new garden project.
Do have a look below for our latest updates!

We're on the home stretch now, says Kate. A new side gate has arrived from Purdy Gates and the two new sheds are now up. Kate has already chosen the bigger one to use for all her boxes!

Water-result!

Library manager Kate Cheng says contractors from Summit Landscapes worked hard during the very wet day. But it was all worth it because now we have a raised bed and patio area, oh, and also a new shed!

Red Rose Buds

The garden project has been fund sourced by FOGL and project managed by Cyndy Ashton. Retired garden designer Amanda Heron drew up the plans with local input from various local gardening groups and individuals.

Bricks and water...

Despite the rather wet day, the builders have been back to work today building a brick wall at the front and creating a raised bed and a pushchair-friendly entrance for us all.

Celebratory marquee?

More of a rain shelter, but a nice idea ...

A raised bed for planting is in the works, along with a brick wall frontage

Relive the relevelling!

As the contractors dig up and relevelled the old cottage garden, something rather small was found along the way... See if you can spot it!

Lots of potential, can you see it?

All quiet in the garden

...not for long though! This is how it looked before the work started.
